Pros & Cons of Indian Education System

The debate on wheather the Indian Education System is great or having a great loopholes is  never ending . So the answer to this frequently asked question can be given on the basis of its advantages & disadvantages.

Lets discuss the Pros first -

  • Indian culture focuses on the act of charity and thereby it can be seen in the Indian Education System also .Hence every school in India has atleast one or two scholarships for the poor and meritorious children. Additionally In 2019, the Indian government announced 50 million scholarships for girl students from backward communities.
  • Indian Education System is one of the greatest examples where seats are being reserved for the underprivileged classes in schools, colleges, and universities. Underprivileged section of society refers to a group of person who have less power, money and prestige in society , thus Indian System Of Education believes that every one is equal thus everyone should have equal right to education thereby reservation prevails in Indian Education System.
  • Continuation of the existing system in the Indian Education System which students considerds easy . As since their childhood students have developed a habit to mug -up the things with a main motive to score high marks in exams only.

Now Cons -

  •  The Indian Education System pathetically lacks in identifying the unique talents , skills of each student and very few schools, colleges & universities are their which pay serious attention to develop an enriching program for extracurricular activities.
  •  The system of Education in India is still traditional where the student gets counselling from the parent , relatives , friends or friends of friends which I think it’s not the right thing to do because Children and young adults may hesitate to share everything with them due to the generation gap and fear of mockery so having a counselor for admissions in the school , college , university is very important .
  • Low quality education as compared with Foreign one , in terms of availability of resources. Yet charges handsome amount of the money for the same course which is available in Abroad schools & university at a cost which is even less than 50% of what a student is paying for the same course in India.
